Wisp는 메모 앱입니다. 광고도, 분석 도구도, 제3자에게 넘길 것도 없습니다. 아래는 그 말을 구체적으로 적은 것입니다.
Wisp is a notes app. There are no ads, no analytics, and nothing to hand to a third party. What follows is that sentence, said precisely.

What is collected
- 이메일 주소

- 동기화를 켰을 때만. 본문, 작성·수정·삭제 시각, 고정 여부입니다.
- 기기 이름과 종류
- 설정 창에서 “어느 기기가 로그인돼 있나”를 보여주기 위해서입니다. 기기 이름은 바꿀 수 있습니다.
- 접속 IP 주소
- 로그인 시도 횟수를 제한하는 데에만 씁니다. 24시간 뒤 지워집니다.
- 세션 토큰의 해시
- 토큰 원문은 저장하지 않습니다. 대조에 쓸 해시만 남습니다.
- 표시 설정
- 시간을 “3분 전”으로 볼지 날짜로 볼지, 어떤 테마 색인지 같은 것입니다. 기기를 옮겨도 같은 모습이 나오게 하기 위해 보관하며, 계정과 함께 지워집니다.

수집하지 않는 것
What is not collected
Google에 요청하는 권한은 openid email 두 개뿐입니다. 이름도,
프로필 사진도, 연락처도, 캘린더도, 드라이브도 요청하지 않고 받지도
않습니다. 동의 화면에 그 이상이 보인다면 그건 Wisp가 아닙니다.
앱에는 분석 도구, 크래시 리포터, 광고 식별자가 들어 있지 않습니다. 어떤 기능을 얼마나 썼는지는 서버로 가지 않습니다. 서버가 남기는 접속 기록은 웹서버의 통상적인 로그이며, 위의 IP 규칙과 별개로 서버 운영 목적에만 쓰입니다.
The only permissions Wisp asks Google for are openid and
email. Not your name, your picture, your contacts, your
calendar, or your Drive — they are neither requested nor received. If a
consent screen shows more than that, it is not Wisp.
The app contains no analytics, no crash reporter, and no advertising identifier. Which features you use, and how much, is not sent anywhere. The server keeps ordinary web-server access logs, used for running the service and nothing else.
메모는 어떻게 보관되나
How notes are stored
모든 메모는 기기 안의 데이터베이스 파일에 먼저 저장됩니다. 네트워크가 없어도 쓰는 데 지장이 없고, 동기화는 거들 뿐입니다.
Every note is written to a database file on your machine first. Losing the network costs you nothing; sync is an addition, not a requirement.
얼마나 보관하나
How long it is kept
- 메모 — 당신이 지울 때까지. 지운 메모는 휴지통에 남고, 휴지통은 저절로 비워지지 않습니다.
- 빈 메모의 삭제 기록 — 7일. 이 기록이 있어야 다른 기기가 “그 메모는 지워졌다”는 사실을 전달받습니다. 일주일이면 한 번이라도 켜본 기기는 모두 듣습니다.
- 로그인 코드와 OAuth 시도(주소와 IP 포함) — 24시간.
- 세션 — 만료되거나 로그아웃할 때까지. 로그아웃은 해당 기기 또는 전체 기기를 고를 수 있습니다.
- 탈퇴한 계정 — 요청 후 7일. 그 7일은 마음을 바꾸실 수 있는 기간이며, 계정은 요청 즉시 쓸 수 없게 됩니다.
- 데이터베이스 백업 — 7일. 무엇을 지우든 그 사본이 백업 안에 최대 이만큼 더 남습니다.
- Notes — until you delete them. A deleted note goes to the trash, and the trash does not empty itself.
- The record that an empty note was deleted — seven days. That record is how another device learns the note is gone; a week covers any machine that syncs even once.
- Sign-in codes and OAuth attempts, including the address and IP they carried — 24 hours.
- Sessions — until they expire or you sign out. Signing out can cover this device or every device.
- A deleted account — seven days from the request. Those days are yours to change your mind in; the account itself stops working the moment you ask.
- Database backups — seven days. Whatever is deleted, a copy of it sits in a backup for up to this much longer.
누구와 공유하나
Who it is shared with
아무에게도 팔지 않고, 광고나 프로파일링에 넘기지 않습니다. 서비스를 돌리기 위해 거치는 곳은 둘입니다.
- Google — 로그인 제공자. 당신이 Google로 로그인할 때 Google은 그 사실을 알게 됩니다. 메모는 Google로 가지 않습니다.
- Amazon Web Services — 서버와 데이터베이스가 놓인 곳.
법적으로 요구받는 경우가 아니면 그 밖의 어디에도 제공하지 않습니다.
Nothing is sold, and nothing is handed to advertisers or profilers. Two parties are involved in running the service.
- Google — the sign-in provider. Signing in with Google tells Google that you did. Your notes are not sent to Google.
- Amazon Web Services — where the server and the database run.
Nowhere else, absent a legal requirement to do so.
지우고 싶을 때
Deleting your data
메모는 앱에서 지우면 됩니다. 휴지통에서 완전히 지우면 서버에서도 사라집니다.
계정 전체는 설정 → Delete account 에서 지웁니다. 누르는 즉시 모든 기기의 로그인이 해제되어 계정은 그 자리에서 쓸 수 없게 되고, 7일 뒤 계정과 그 계정의 메모가 서버에서 완전히 삭제됩니다.
7일 안에 다시 로그인하면 삭제가 취소됩니다. 그 기간이 존재하는 이유가 그것뿐이므로, 취소를 위해 따로 연락하실 필요는 없습니다.
한 가지 덧붙입니다. 데이터베이스는 장애에 대비해 매일 백업되고, 그 백업은 7일 뒤 자동으로 사라집니다. 그래서 지워진 데이터가 백업 안에 남아 있는 기간까지 합하면 최대 14일 입니다. 백업에서 특정 계정만 골라 지우는 것은 기술적으로 불가능하고, 백업은 복구 외의 목적으로 쓰지 않습니다.
Notes are deleted in the app. Emptying one from the trash removes it from the server too.
The whole account goes from Settings → Delete account. Pressing it signs every device out immediately, so the account stops working at once, and seven days later the account and every note in it are erased from the server.
Signing in again within those seven days calls it off. That is the only reason the delay exists, so there is nothing to write in about.
One addition. The database is backed up daily against failure, and those backups expire on their own after seven days. Counting the time a deleted account can still be sitting inside one, the real outside figure is fourteen days. Picking a single account out of a backup is not technically possible, and backups are not used for anything but recovery.

Changes to this policy
위쪽의 최종 수정일이 바뀝니다. 수집 항목이나 보관 기간이 실제로 달라지는 변경이라면, 앱에서도 알립니다.
The "last updated" date at the top changes. If a change actually alters what is collected or how long it is kept, the app will say so as well.
